Titanium
The current price of Titanium is approximately 2x more than that of the 17-4 Stainless we currently have in stock. Additionally, the time required to machine it is significantly longer. We don’t feel that the benefits gained justify the additional cost. If a large enough order, or group buy, was arranged, we could certainly fulfill such a request.
Aluminum
While Aluminum does have some reactivity issues, if one keeps the storage cup threads lubricated, disassembly is very easy, and each section is able to be easily and effectively cleaned. The weight savings aluminum provides is definitely worth the extra effort when it comes time to clean up your kit.
Item Production
In order to keep costs as low as possible, we do not maintain a large inventory. We operate using a JIT, or Just-In-Time philosophy, and each order is custom made. Time from order to shipping could be less than a week depending on shop workload.
Part Lengths:
80% cups are not able to be manufactured longer than 1.625, and the design requires that they be at least .875 long. Parts can only be manufactured within this specific range due to tooling and CNC machine restraints. These specified overall lengths do not include the length of the threading/overlapping areas. A 2.5” solvent chamber, 1x 1.00” storage cup and the .300” end cap with yield a 3.800” long solvent trap once assembled (2.5+1.0+.3 = 3.8).
